Where We’ve Been

• On June 3, 2025, 24 of 25 of Atlanta’s Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs) had voted to approve the Trails ATL legislation (NPU-C in Buckhead was opposed). Of the more than 400 votes cast in these meetings around the city, the ratio of “yea’s” to “nay’s” was 20 to 1. Clearly Atlanta loves trails and wants more! ·

• On June 10, 2025, the City Council’s Community Development/Human Services Committee voted unanimously to recommend approval of Trails ATL and sent it to the City Council on the Consent Agenda for the following meeting.

• The legislation was subsequently sponsored by 13 of 15 City Council Members.
